Reading programs coordinated with the Rockbridge Library
Kids' Links

At Boxerwood, we feel that children can best learn about nature by actually being in nature -- that's why we created these school programs for our Lexington & Rockbridge County students.  So much is gained when students can supplement classroom lessons with actual hands-on activity.  Our preschool, elementary  and middle-school (and Woods Creek, 2008) programs provide enriching experiential education in an incredible natural classroom.  Programs benefit both students, who learn while having a great time outdoors, as well as teachers, who receive lesson ideas through our state-standards-based curricula.  Please read our guidelines

All of our programs are taught by staff members or trained, enthusiastic volunteers from the local community including local universities.
